The banks of the James River were once again alive with energy for the 21st Richmond Folk Festival, and CCV was right in the heart of the action.
2025 brought new experiences and a bit of uncharted territory, as the Center for Cultural Vibrancy Stage moved from its longtime home to the brand-new Allianz Amphitheater. Looking out over 7,000 seats was certainly a change from our cozy tent, but the warmth, soul, and spirit of the artists—paired with the enthusiasm of our beloved audience—quickly recreated that cherished sense of community that has been the signature of our stage from its inception.

From the sweet opening harmonies of Anya Hinkle and her fine trio to our spiritually charged finale with the explosive Legendary Ingramettes, the weekend was yet another magical celebration of the richly diverse tapestry that is America.
Check out some highlights from the festival below—and stay tuned for some exciting video footage coming soon!
