The Legendary Ingramettes Take Ireland, Then the World!

Ingramettes Ireland promotional tour poster

With support from USArtists at the Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation, CCV organized and produced a ten-day tour of Ireland for the Legendary Ingramettes from September 16-26. This female-fronted gospel powerhouse performed at festivals, at concert halls large and small, connected with new friend Rhiannon Giddens for a workshop at the University of Limerick (thanks for the biscuits, Rhiannon!), and performed at numerous schools across the west of Ireland for student audiences. CCV offered the Ingramettes extra love following their NEA National Heritage Fellowship to see how we can assist in getting them to their next career pinnacle. So far, we have helped to secure them an agent, assisted in their being chosen for a slot on the Mid Atlantic Arts Touring Roster, and selected for a coveted slot at the Globalfest Showcase at Lincoln Center in 2023. Keep your eyes on this group in 2023 and catch them while you can!

Clifden Arts Festival Workshop

An incredibly special event occurred at the Station House Theatre in Clifden on the west coast of Ireland as part of the Clifden Arts Festival. The Legendary Ingramettes participated in a workshop where they presented “How I got over.” This all-ages session centered on Black Gospel and the church in the American Civil Rights movement. It was spectacular.
